Palermo has spoken. Seven nights alongside the Orchestra Jazz Siciliana at the Real Teatro Santa Cecilia, and not a seat to spare. The engagement marks another chapter in a triumphant Italian run that began with a concert at Blue Note Milano.
The concerts draw on Carling’s full range: vocal, trombone, trumpet, recorder, piano, harmonica bagpipe, — and a showmanship that fills rooms of any size. Sicily, it seems, was ready.
